Finally Macromedia is rethinking the licence model of Flex and offering a licencing program for students, technology educators and individual developers for non-commercial deployment.
You still need to buy the full version for commercial use, but at least educational organisations can begin using the software and become familiar with its benefits.
For the average developer the question remains: who will be the first Flex provider to offer Flex hosting for the non-enterprise developer? Or will it remain in the Enterprise market?
Flex can be a great tool for broadband flash video applications.
