Earlier this month, Snagfilms launched their free online video streaming service to devices using Adobe AIR.

SnagFilms today released the most popular titles in its acclaimed independent film library via new free film-streaming apps for Amazon’s Kindle Fire, Android-based smartphones and a broad range of tablets using the Android and Blackberry® Playbook™ Tablet platforms.  This new app brings 400 non-fiction, fiction and foreign films, available for free, to mobile devices, leveraging the Adobe® AIR® runtime environment. Besides the fact that the independent movies are available worldwide and for free, it is also a great showcase how to create a visually appealing and highly responsive Adobe AIR video application, and deliver secure video to a fragmented platform like Android.

If you don’t have have a mobile device, you can also visit Snagfilms.com and watch their content in the browser.

Install the Snagfilms application from the Android Market.
