Silent Hunter is one of the games I grew up with, and it is amazing to see it going through many iterations throughout the years. Therefore I’m really excited to see the latest version of the game to become available as Flash Player 11/Stage3D online version.
There is not much more available than a trailer at this point, but it looks impressive.
Golem.de has an interview with Benedikt Grindel from Ubisoft Blue Byte mentioning Flash Player 11 as the front-end. Their research showed it’s the right option due to its reach and the 3D capabilities. Unfortunately the interview is only available in German.
Exciting times to become a virtual submarine captain and replay some of the “Das Boot” moments online. All in the browser, all with Flash Player 11.
