In case you are remotely interested in independent gaming (or gaming in general), Indie Game: The Movie is a fascinating documentary about independent game development.

It’s a very personal and dramatic documentary about the lifes of three independent game development teams, following them through overworked nights, tears of joy and disappointment, anger, depression, and ultimate success.

It follows the creation of Super Meat Boy, developed by Edmund McMillen and Tommy Refenes over a couple of years, resulting in over a million purchases.

Or the story of the game Fez developed by Phil Fish and Renaud Bédard, which was a very hard and long path to an amazingly rewarding game.

And Jonathan Blow, who created the revolutionary independent game Braid, and is working on The Witness.

A great sentiment to what independent game developers can achieve with a lot of dedication, and inspiring to say the least.
