Livefyre is certainly by far my favorite commenting system, with its realtime comments, great social media integration, (e.g. with the ability to easily include a twitter “@name” in your comments). It definitely feels like the 2012 version of a commenting system, demonstrating how blog interaction should be.

Thankfully, Livefyre included me in the beta of their new version, and this blog should have the new upgraded v3 beta version below. Let’s go for a test run, shall we?

  1. Jens Loeffler Lookin’ good Jens, thanks for helping us out in the beta! If you ever need anything just give us a shout man, we’re here for ya!

  2. What´s the livefyre bandwidth limit? Is there any? Cause I used this comment system in my blog but had to switch to another one, since it just stopped loading. I had about 2.200 comments per post.

  3. Just testing the commenting system. Sorry for the spam. Looks great, I must say, clean – and you can change the css (something you can’t with disqus 2012). Ugly logo, though, but you can put it at the bottom of the comments with a few tweaks. To swith from disqus? Hmmm.

  4. Don Coringone I would ask livefyre directly, they are super responsive to issues – they had some issues a couple of weeks ago (probably when you posted this), but since then it’s stable at least for me.

    1. Jens Loeffler Don Coringone Livefyre will show the first 50 comments, and then another 50 at a time as the reader clicks on the “show more” button. It would take a bit of time to see all 2,200 on your post, but they can also toggle back and forth between the newest and oldest comments as well. If you have more questions, let me know.

  5. I’ve thought a few times about changing comments from WordPress to Livefyre. However, I haven’t taken the plunge yet.Does Livefyre have any functionality like the CommentLuv plugin for WordPress?

    1. HCG Diet No it does not. But it has the option to show your latest post when you post comments on other blogs which are using livefyre comment system.

  6. Hey Jens Loeffler, you told meghankrane that comments were missing…but they look all there to me! 😉
Sorry about the snag there earlier, it looks like there was minor hiccup, but I’ve corrected that from our end and you’re good to go my friend. Thanks for bringing it to our attention, and please shout if you ever need anything else!

  7. LFJeremy Jens Loeffler meghankrane sweet, thanks. yes, it was missing for at least 24 hours (it had the comment count, but the actual comments were missing). Great it got resolved – keep up the excellent support.
