  1. How does one get access to the Primetime Media Player to implement inside our own custom media application? Is there as SDK like the OSMF player. Is it a paid product ?

    1. superabe it’s not the Primetime Player alone, but there are services that work with it, as example ad insertion or analytics. It comes as part of that, it’s not a standalone free player.

      1. Jens Loeffler Thanks for the clarification.  How about HLS support? Is that tied to Primetime player as well? If we want to make use of that in our own custom media app, would we need to pay up for Primetime ?

        1. superabe Jens Loeffler yes, it’s only available within Adobe Primetime. It is meant to be used in context of the Adobe Primetime features, e.g. with DRM, Ad Insertion, etc., and help simplify the workflow. For overall video playback in Flash, RTMP and HDS are still the best options.

        2. Jens Loeffler That’s a bit of a disappointment, that the HLS support will be only for native apps, and not for Flash or Air.
Any idea what the licesing/costs will be for primtime (ball park)?

        3. superabe Flash Player on desktop will actually have HLS support, but only if you use the Primetime Player – here is the official blog post: http://blogs.adobe.com/digitalmedia/2013/04/adobe-primetime-and-the-single-publishing-workflow/ – you can reach out to [email protected] for pricing.
